Beautiful time to be in DC. It doesn't matter if you have lived here your whole life or you're just in for the weekend, cherry blossom season is gorgeous. If you mind the crowds, head away from the mall. Almost every street in the city has cherry blossom trees. I do suggest riding into the city instead of driving or taking the metro.
