Nothing Better Than a Good Story

I love to read.

This may be a little bit of an understatement. Today, for instance, I finished Beautiful Boy by David Sheff. It is a heartfelt story of a father whose son is an addict. I was so into the book emotionally that I could barely function when I arrived at work. My co-workers were asking me 'what's wrong'. This world is what is wrong...not exactly, but I could feel the pain after finishing this one. Oh, woe is me.

Anyway, I am making another list (one of my favorite past times). Below is the list of books I am determined to read in the next month or two.

1. Outliers: The Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell

2. Three Cups of Tea: One Man's Mission to Promote Peace...One School at a Time by Greg Mortenson

3. The Host by Stephanie Meyer

4. The Omnivore's Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals by Michael Pollan

5. Sag Harbor by Colson Whitehead

6. Olive Kitteridge by Elizabeth Strout
